10 Top Products of 2014 (the best stuff for moms and kids!)

As we head towards the end of the year, I thought it would be fun to take a look back at all the products I’ve had the chance to review this year and pick the best. If you’re still looking for Christmas ideas, maybe something on this list will inspire you! Here, in no particular order, are my top products of 2014.

I received compensation for this post, but all opinions expressed remain my own.

1. Tommee Tippee sippy cups: Our household runs on sippy cups and water bottles. I’ve come to realize the importance of water to good health. Now I started carry a water bottle myself and encourage the girls to drink more water. That means they have sippy cups when they’re watching TV, going to bed, riding in the truck, or doing school at the table. Tommee Tippee has some great spill-proof cups for kids of every age.

2. A Vogel’s Echinaforce: I’ve been raving about this product to my friends and using it again myself this week. Echinaforce works to keep colds away. As soon as I start to feel like I’m coming down with a cold, I start taking either the echinacea drops or the echinacea drink for about a week or until I’m sure the cold bug has gone away. If you don’t like colds, grab some for yourself!

3. Picture Keeper: I have a lot of pictures on my computer. A LOT. And every once in a while, I think about what might happen if my computer crashed. With Picture Keeper, I don’t have to worry about that! All my memories are now stored on both my computer and my Picture Keeper, making them easy to restore if something should happen to my computer.

4. Couples Massage: This makes a great date night. You learn how to massage your spouse in the comfort of your own home. It’s a lovely way to relax together and give to each other at the end of a long day (or week).

5. Truly Scrumptious Heidi Klum collection: Adorable. The outfit Jade tried on was so cute and fit her so well.

6. Samsung Galaxy Tablet: I’m finally mobile! And it’s so much fun! My new Samsung Tab was so easy to set up and use. I’ve been having fun reading books, baking recipes off Pinterest, looking up directions in new cities, and more at just the touch of a button.

7. Sparkup Magical Book Reader: The girls pull this off the shelf daily, along with a pile of books, and sit reading. I enjoy listening to the stories too while I’m folding laundry or making supper. We regularly add new books to the Sparkup and they enjoy the independence of reading by themselves.

8. Elsa and Anna costumes: Again, the girls get these out weekly. I often leave the house with a princess or two in tow. I’m quite impressed at how well these costumes have withstood all the wear and washing. I had to resew parts of the Anna costume, but I’ve also had to resew other costumes which they’ve worn much less.

9. Odyssey Adventure Club: This was a little bit above Sunshine and Lily, but they still enjoyed listening to some episodes. I have fond memories of hearing Adventures in Odyssey stories as a kid. Now, with the new website, kids can access all the episodes as well as videos, challenges, and more. Definitely something I’ll be looking at again as the girls get older.

10. Bamboobies nursing products: I sent a package of Bamboobies products to a friend of mine. She responded, “I love how each gift is so purposeful—things I didn’t even know I needed! … The nursing shawl is so cool. It was so neat to get a ‘survival package’ for a new, first-time mom. I feel more prepared!” Bamboobies has everything a new mom needs to breastfeed in comfort.

Those are my top products of 2014—the items that are still getting frequent use and rave reviews around our house.
