The EquiptBaby Diaper Bag—a Stylish, Practical Bag for Moms

For most of the past eight and a half years, I carried a diaper bag with me everywhere. I’ve had a few different diapers bags in that time. Some have worn out, some got too small. For a while, I’ve felt like it wasn’t quite meeting my needs. When I heard of the EquiptBaby Diaper Bag, I jumped at the chance to try it out.

The EquiptBaby diaper bag has some features I’ve never seen in a diaper bag before. One of my favourites is the solid base. So often, I’ve grimaced at the thought of putting my diaper bag down on a dirty floor in a public area or at the playground. With the solid plastic base, I’m no longer worried about where my bag is sitting—or that it’s going to fall over and get dirtier or spill it contents.

The wide strap of the diaper bag makes it easy to put over my shoulder when we’re out or to hang it over the handles of my stroller. This summer, I’ve been using the stroller at the girls’ swim lessons; Pearl sits in her stroller, the swim bag goes underneath, and the diaper bag goes over the handle. I’ve got everything with me, whether I’m shuffling girls through the change rooms or hanging out at the playground before or after swim lessons.

The EquiptBaby diaper bag has three outside pockets. One fits my wallet perfectly, the other holds the padded matching change mat, and the third I use for my phone, keys, business cards, and pen. The  outside pockets and the diaper bag itself are held closed with magnetic snaps, which are easy to open and close with one hand.

Two views of the EquiptBaby diaper bagInside is a zippered, insulated pocket for snacks and bottles on one side. The other side has one large pocket and a series of smaller pockets. I use these pockets for things like nursing pads, diaper cream, etc.

The one thing I don’t like is that the only zippered pocket is for the snacks. I’ve been tempted to use that pocket for the personal stuff I cart around in my diaper bag. So far, however, my phone hasn’t fallen out of the outside pocket and the inside pockets have also stayed organized.

While I like the black fabric, it has torn in a couple places. The corner of one pocket is a bit frayed and the shoulder strap pad has started coming apart. I’m not sure how durable the fabric is, and a diaper bag gets a lot of use. So far, the tears haven’t caused a problem and I could put some fray stop on them.

The EquiptBaby Diaper Bag currently comes in black fabric, with a white, blue and grey liner. I’ve had many moms comment on how sharp it looks. I agree it’s a stylish diaper bag. The buttons match the inside liner and so Pearl loves crawling across the floor to play with them (and my phone and whatever else she can pull out of the pockets—another reason zippers would be nice).

The last feature of the EquiptBaby Diaper Bag is one that I was unable to use. This bag comes with an amazing pop-up baby bassinet. The bassinet has a comfy mattress in the bottom so baby can nap or play. The mesh cover keeps both bugs and sun away from baby. This would have been great when Pearl was small. However, I got the bag when she was about 8 months and already starting to roll and crawl, so we never used the bassinet.

If you’re looking for a new diaper bag for yourself or a friend, I highly recommend checking out the EquiptBaby Diaper Bag. I’ve been carrying it for the past several months and still love it. It’s stylish and practical and holds everything I need. For more details about it, you can visit the website. You can also find them on Facebook and Twitter.
