PinkBlush Maternity Shirt Review

A maternit shirt from Pinkblush Maternity (side view)One of the things I’ve dreaded about each of my pregnancies has been shopping for maternity clothes.  I don’t like shopping on the best of days, but trying to find clothing that fits over an expanding belly make it even more difficult.

For my first two pregnancies, I managed to get away with buying the bare minimum: a couple pairs of jeans, a couple pairs of black pants, a handful of shirts suitable for the office (with Sunshine) or Starbucks (with Lily).  And at the end of each pregnancy, I gave away a few things that I’d “made do” with, even though they didn’t really fit.

This pregnancy, I noticed some of my fellow bloggers talking about the trendy maternity clothes they’d found—online.  I clicked through to PinkBlush Maternity and soon found myself lost in planning a new maternity wardrobe.  There were so many cute tops!

PinkBlush Maternity sent me one of their tops for review.  When it arrived, I couldn’t wait to try it on.  I loved the vibrant blue stripes and the cowl neckline, which comes to a V just off-centre.  It was longer than I’d expected from the picture on the website.  Lily (who was watching me) said, “It’s a dress!”

“Nope,” I said, arranging it around my waist.  I turned around, wondering if I’d like it or not because I don’t wear many shirts that long.

To my surprise, I’ve found it is one of my most comfortable maternity shirts.  The length means that it doesn’t slide up my stomach, as so many of my other shirts do.  I don’t have to adjust it or tug at it every time I stand up or bend over.  The fabric itself is soft and stretchy.
